What Causes Seizures Whiles Suffering From Pneumonia?

Friend s son, 35 years old has ulcers, possible stress from new business, diagnosed with pneumonia, and has suffered seizures 2 times all within 1 month timeframe. Ulcers are caused by bacteria, right? He is at the ER now because of second seizure. Seizures are the main concern now he will receive CT scan of brain. Are seizures unlikely to be caused or related to the other conditions?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

An MRI scan is required for further assessment.

We have to rule out possible causes like electrolyte imbalances also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
