hi I had an cataract operation on my left eye which is fine but when i got the right one done on the 7 of nov. the eyelid has dropped and the eye is very sensitive to light and heat it can be quite unbearable at times i cannot look up watch tv read etc the only thing that helps is being outside on a dull day . can you advise me please thank you !
Hello It seems from the history that you are having sensitivity to light following cataract surgery. This indicates inflammation of the eye probably following cataract surgery. This requires treatment by the use of steroids and antiinflammatory drugs depending on the severity. The other things that need to be considered are corneal edema and secondary glaucoma induced by surgery. Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
