What Causes Sensation Of Cold Water Running In The Head?
Today for the first time I had this sensation of cold water running in my head at the front, it hasn t happened since only a few time this morning. What could that be, I am in good health 63 yrs old with no medical problems and I am not on any medications. I do not smoke or drink and no drugs.
Abnormal sensations are usually related to the nervous system. It may be due to neuropathy which refers to abnormal function of the nerves.
There are different possible causes such as: (1) trauma (2) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (3)diabetes (4)liver or kidney disease (5)exposure to toxins (6)infections such as shingles (7)nerve related diseases such as MS (8)idiopathic- cause not known
In many cases, the sensation stops on its own but if it continues then you need to see your doctor for assessment which may include blood tests
There are medications that can help.
I hope this helps
