What Causes Sensitive Hearing?

Hello, I have recently been quite ill with bad gastro (ended up in hospital and on a drip). Since then I feel I have very sensitive hearing, and often feel like people are shouting. My tv is also on lower volumes. Is there any connection? It's been 5 days since I started being sick.
