Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The skin of my right leg is extremely sensitive. It started behind my knee and has traveled up the thigh 3 days now. I am also having waves of chills and alternating hot flashes. I am also experiencing joint stiffness and aches( hands elbow knees feet.) started 4 days ago. I am wondering if this could be something to be concerned with or just the aftermath of physical exertion.
There are various causes to joint stiffness and aches including inflammation (arthritis, bursitis, lupus), and even diet or obesity.
I think you should run arthritis testing including: - CBC - urine analysis - ASLO - CRP - rheumatoid factor
as a start. Meanwhile, start taking: - analgesic orally (ibuprofen, mephenamic acid) - apply analgesic cream locally - avoid movements of joints until you see rheumatologist. - observe if there is any insect bite site
Hope this helps. Dr.Albana Sejdini
