What Causes Sensitiveness In Front Teeth And Numbness In Gums?

I have sensitive upper front teeth and then i get numbness in my gums and goes into my nose and then subsides. its like a freezing for dental work. I have celiac and am taking spiriva but have cut back on it because i think that is part of the problem and i have very little symptoms of emphysema. My sinuses and nose feel much better since i cut back on the spiriva every day. i don t smoke and am a healthy 60 year old.

Hi there, it sounds like what you are experiencing might be cold sensitivity in your teeth. Cold sensitivity can result from the nerves in the teeth being exposed, especially if you have receding gums. I would recommend you go see a dentist so that he or she can determine whether or not any intervention can be taken (sometimes, they can apply a sealant that will resolve your problem). In the meantime, I would recommend that you try switching to an over the counter toothpaste for sensitive teeth, as this may help. I hope this answer was helpful to you.
