What Causes Sensitivity In Testicle And Protruding Dark Veins In Scrotum?

Hello, My right testicle is sensitive and there seem to be more pronounced dark veins in my scrotum. I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia last year. I was told that it reduces when I m prone, however during a shower it seemed that the veins were more pronounced than I recall. Any thoughts?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Increased sensitivity in testicle and protruding dark veins in scrotum is suggestive of early signs of development of 'varicocele' or 'hydrocele'.
Varicocele is an enlargement of pampiniform plexus of veins within the scrotum.
Hydrocele is a painless collection of watery fluid around one or both testicles that causes the scrotum or groin area to enlarge.
Kindly get a scrotal ultrasound scan done to know about its status and consult Urologist for clinical examination to confirm the diagnosis, so that it can be accordingly managed.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
