What Causes Several Swollen Lymph Nodes On Both Sides Of The Groin?

Hi I have several swollen lymph nodes on both sides of the grion (six in total) ranging from 1.5 to 0.5 I have had them for months mabe even years. They are soft warm and fairly immovable. I went to the doctors on a previous occasion and he I was just skinny. I have no other symptoms apart from occasional pain in the groin. It is really getting me down and is making me paranoid what do you think I should do.

Hi

as you say they feel worm, means they are sign of an ongoing infection. They being immovable can also be a danger sign of them being fixed to underlying structures which happens in case of metastatic lymph node. You have not mentioned your gender, hence taking our diagnostic procedures is a bit difficult in such case. Still I will try to help you out with this.

In our OPD setup, we get a Chest X Ray, an Erect Abdominal Xray and Xray KUB done depending on your symptoms, (a little more history is needed to confirm which?), and a CBC to confirm the infection.

We prefer to prescribe Tab Ampicillin 500mg TDS X 7 days, Tab Paracetamol 500mg BD X 7 days for such infection, this should be sufficient unless you have some larger disease.
