What Causes Severe Abdominal Cramps With Spotting?
Hi.i done 4 pregnancy tests all positive,I was feeling a little discomfort in my stomach, thought it was growing pains as it wernt bad.I had a little bit of blood one night the next day I bleed most of the day 3 days later in still having the tummy pains and now my neck/shoulder/arm is aching.dr told me if I had done another test later on and was negative then I was no longer pregnant, which I did the test and was negative but not sure why I m having these pains and if its normal
Hello and welcome to HCM, Positive pregnancy tests followed by bleeding and then negative pregnancy test is suggestive of missed abortion. The abdominal cramps are common during the process of abdominal cramps. However, if the cramps are still continuing, it can be due to retained products of conception. Thus, I suggest you to consult your gynaecologist for clinical assessment and investigations like ultrasound of pelvis to see the status of uterus and its contents.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
