Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The cause of these cramps could mean an impending period or a very early pregnancy. Well, with a very early pregnancy the cramps are not severe. A sonogram can be helpful to know the status of the pelvic organs and clarify the situation. Please inform your doctor of the cramps and get further assistance. An estimation of the serum beta-hCG titers at this stage can confirm/exclude pregnancy. Ovarian hyperstimulation is another factor that should be considered in this scenario. Hope you find this information helpful. Wish you good health.
