What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After Taking Postinor 2?

I have been experiencing severe abdominal pains since my periods started ....i had used the p2 pil some weeks before my periods ....what can be wrong ? And how can i stop the abdominal pains which have lasted for the 4 th day now....? Ive been taking some pain killers but they tend not to work

Abdominal cramps are common during menstrual periods.

Some girls have minor pain while most girls feel severe abdominal cramps due to uterine contractions.

These contractions are due to prostaglandin synthesis which is responsible for expelling out endometrial material formed for the implantation.

So, take tablet Meftal Spas (Mefenamic acid and Dicyclomine drugs) during menstrual cramps.

Also, consult gynecologist once to rule out other uterine abnormalities which can be missed by doing only symptomatic relief.
