What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After Taking Voltaren?

I recently started taking voltaren. I had severe stomach/abdominal pain. lots of gas and it was difficult to move out. P ain was spasmodic in nature and intensified when Liquid or food was consumed. Could all this be a result of the drug and what permanent damage could have been done.

I have gone through your query. Voltaren is a NSAID drug. Your problem can be due to gastritis or worsening of previously present gastric ulcer. Avoid taking NSAIDs. You can take proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ). If there is no improvement then go to ER to rule out any complications like peptic ulcer or perforation.
