Hi, my name is Jen. I m 44 years old. Starting about 20 years ago, I ve had horrible bowel episodes that include: sudden and excruciating abdominal convulsions while on the toilet, resulting from (most often constipation) but most recently diarrhea; vomiting from the convulsions during constipation; intense sweating, faintness, extreme all-over weakness. This seems to be consistent with IBS symptoms, but the episodes only happen once or twice every 2-3 years. They come on very quickly and out of the blue, are horrible just let me die NOW experiences, and as soon as it s over, it s over (except the physical exhaustion and left-over cramping from the trauma). I haven t seen any pattern or consistency. The episodes don t seem to correlate with my diet, frame of mind, medications, level of physical activity or ANYTHING. Can you shed some light on what this may be???
