What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain During Pregnancy?

Hello, I ve had a lot of pain & early contraptions. So my Dr. advised to take Duphaston. Now I am in the 33rd week of pregnancy& I m still taking the same dosage 2 tablets/ 12 hrs . I heard it has to be stopped at the 34th week. Should I minimize the dosage by myself? And does it necessarily lead to a C-section delivery? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Early contractions are being correctly treated with Duphaston. Should continue medication as prescribed by your gynecologist. Do not stop or add extra dosage on your own, but should consult with your gynecologist first.

It does not necessarily lead to C-section delivery. You might have a natural delivery. However, it all will depend on the progress of pregnancy and delivery when it's due date.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
