What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain During Third Trimester Of Pregnancy?
Hi Dr My name is Jasmine I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have CPP (complete previa placenta). This morning I had sharp pains down the right side of my stomach to my pelvic bone which lasted from around 8:30am to 10:30am and have currently stopped but I am feeling a little sick and get uncomfortable pains as though she has engaged. I am wondering your opinion on this situation. Also two weeks ago I had hemorrhaged and have been very careful sense, I did receive my course of steroids as well.
It is common to feel uncomfortable towards the end of your pregnancy. By the third trimester you may feel pains, like contractions, called Braxton Hicks contraction. These do not happen at regular intervals. They tend to be short. You need to visit your obstetrician immediately to rule out any hemorrhage and check the status of fetal heart sound.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
