What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain, Nausea, Dizziness, Vomiting And Blurred Vision During Menstruation?

I have my period now. I have severe pain, I all of a sudden felt nausase, dizzy, double over from the pain, to where it made me throw up.My vision was blurred for a moment, the pain I would say was a 9 at the time. for the rest of the day about a 5. my periods have been normal. I did have cramps around the time I would ovulate. I am not on birth control. Is this something I should see a doctor right away. Or see how next months period goes. My last pabt test was about 5 months ago. I am 25 years old

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is quite common during periods. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. As a first line management you can take drugs like Mefenemic acid for symptomatic relief. If pain persists you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
