What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain While Having A Copper Coil?

Hello i have the copper coil in and its been around 8 months bur for the past mo th i have severe abdominal pain which goes and comes not sure if its got to with the coil! It can get very painful! Can t be something serious! & the onlt symtom i have is lower abdominal pain.

First of all do not panic.
Please get a gynecology check up done including per speculum and per vaginal examination. This will help to know about the position of the Copper The and to rule out PID- Pelvic inflammatory disease.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for antispasmodic like Dicyclomine and a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline 2 times a day for 5 days.

If needed USG can be done.
