What Causes Severe Acne On The Face And Back After Taking Meprate?
Hi, I am 22 and I have been taking Meprate 10 from 2 years. Before that I used to take Modus 10 for almost 3 years since when I was diagnosed with PCO. Now I have severe Acne problems on my Face and back. They are filled with pus and very big. Should I change my medicine? Because When I was on Modus 10, I had less acne but now it s getting worse than ever. Kindly suggest me regarding this as I am worried. Thank you in advance.
If you are having increased acne with this new medication, then you should definitely consider a change. If you are not trying to conceive then the use of birth control medication may be helpful because they help to reduce acne and also would regularize your period.
There are a number of topical agents that can help with acne, particularly, topical retinoids and benzoyl peroxide washes. Oral antibiotics are sometimes needed for a short period of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
