What Causes Severe And Frequent Spells Of Dizziness?

Hi I am 13 and get sever dizziness that lasts from a minute to 20, can cause me to lose my balance half the time and i can not stop myself from falling over. My mum has low blood sugar and her mum has high blood sugar could it be either of these? My Parents and I are just worried about what it could be as it has now been going on for over a year I hope you can help us. I am average size and eat a normal amount, I have not lost much weight since the dizziness started

HI.At an age of 13 if one is having such a dizziness , investigations in details after a careful history and clinical examination is a must.
I would suggest you a an MRI of the brain and HRCT of the mastoids and examination by an ENT Surgeon and a Neurologist.
Till you get OK you should stop all the activities which involve active participation. Do not go anywhere alone.
The treatment will depend upon the investigations .
