Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother has had a serious illness for over a year. She was in the hospital from last November through Easter of this year. While she is improving very slowly physically, she is having mental health issues. She s tired of being sick, but has no energy. She is very anxious and nervous at times. She is on a couple of medications for this, but I feel she may need to see someone to help with her mental health issues. She is not suicidal. Should she see a psychiatrist or a psychologist. She has Medicare and Blue Cross coverage, though cost is not a real issue. Thank you for your advice.
