What Causes Severe Back Pain And Nausea After Having A Lumbar Puncture?

I had a lumbar puncture on Friday. Have had severe back pain and nausea since. No headache, but tinnitus. There is some bruising at procedure site. OTC pain relievers do not help and Tramadol barely helps at all. Is this normal? Could not reach my doctor to ask about situation.

If cerebrospinal fluid is lost in considerable quantity and if there is leakage, then this condition may develop. It is better to take rest in supine position with head end down and leg end raised.
