What Causes Severe Bleeding In Nose?

Looking for possible causes of a combination of a severe bloody nose (nose just starts bleeding and bleeds excessively, when this happens also get a headache and ear hurts on left side. Person has had on heart attack, suffers high blood pressure, gout, borderline diabetic. I have told this individual they need to see an ENT but ENT wants referral from personal dr. States personal dr. does not seem overly concern. I am very concerned and told them something is terribly wrong. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi,
It seems that he might be having sudden riseof blood pressure giving this problem.
As he is a heart patient might be taking some blood thinner medicine that can give rise to bleeding from nose as well.
consult his physician and get BP measured and go for ptb ( Pro thrombine time ) checked.
Put otrivin nasal drops.
Ok and take care.
