What Causes Severe Bloating, Cramps And Painful Bowel Movements With History Of IBS?
I have suffered from IBS for years and I also have Hep C from a blood transfusion during my radical hysterectomy over 30 years ago. I am 62, female, non-smoker, active physically, okay to good diet. Lately, any dairy; fried food; nuts; tuna salad, and I am in the bathroom for sometimes 2 days. Severe bloating; cramps; very painful bowel movements and then my body thinks it has to go ....nothing but little liquid or pussy substance; hemorrhoid bleeds; and I feel like my bottom insides are coming out. Boy does it HURT! Any suggestions? I don t like meds. I am that 1 in 3,000 may experience...
The symptoms you have are very common in patients with IBS. Apart from medicine dietary modification helps a lot. I would suggest you consult a dietitian and follow her advice on diet. This will help to improve your condition. Also talk to your doctor about the medicines if you are willing to stop them. Depending on your present condition if needed he will guide you with appropriate plan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
