What Causes Severe Body Ache Along With Nausea And Headache?

My daughter is 20 and started to feel sick last Thursday. She had severe body aches and nausea, with a headache. Since then, she has developed very swollen, puffy eyes, and today has a sore throat. She went to urgent care yesterday where they did a flu test that was negative. They didn t test her for mononucleosis because they said her throat wasn t red or sore (she had her tonsils removed in 2003). Any idea why her eyes are swollen but not itchy or red? She s been taking zyrtec and benadryl, but they stay quite swollen.

Hi,

As per your clinical history, please follow like this:

1) Get it clinically examined by your Doctor, and to confirm, do Monospot test and CBC with differential

2) Regarding prescription medicines, discuss Azithromycin and Corticosteroids

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:

1) If you're infected, you can help prevent spreading the virus to others by not kissing them.

2) Do not share food, dishes, glasses, and utensils until several days after your infection has subsided.
