What Causes Severe Body Ache And Fatigue?

Started with intense pain and tiredness throughout body 3 days ago. Stayed in bed for 2 days. A (little) better now but have evolved to diareah, fever, and a general stomach ache with mild headache. Still can t eat. Still very weak. Seems much like what I would call flu symptoms. Just returned form a winter in Florida and nearly daily alcohol use. I don t drink much here and stopped suddenly the day before I got sick. Is there a chance my illness is complicated with alcohol withdraw syndrome?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Go for a complete blood count and thyroid function as anemia and thyroid disorders can cause similar symptoms.

As of now, take bed rest and drink plenty of water to keep your self-hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
