What Causes Severe Body Discomfort After Injecting Rocephin For Ear Infection?

My 3yr old had 3 rosephin injections for ear infection. Now very irritable and cries nonstop. Fever gone, but acting strange. Cried for 1 hr straight and tried to get out of her car seat while on belt line. Is this a side effect and how long will it last?

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Rocephin contains active ingredient Ceftrioxazone and irritability seems to be due to side effect of the antibiotic..

I would suggest you to consult your treating physician/Paediatician and get him evaluated so that he can stop the instillation of the antibiotic or change the antibiotic..

He can also advise her intake of anti allergics like Benadryl..
Also feed him with plenty of water and soft diet..
Give him sufficient rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
