What Causes Severe Burning And Tingling Sensation In The Legs?

Per MRI of Lumbar Spine....thecal sac is flattened...L4-L5 moderate broad based disc bulge which extends into the foraminal and extraforaminal regions bilaterally...there is annular fissure in the central region..there is moderate bilateral foraminal narrowing. I have severe back pain with burning, tingling and numbness in both legs....should I be worried about possible caudal equine syndrome?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
hi,

as you mentioned the MRI and symptoms it is a nerve pinch symptoms you are facing which is not a cauda equina syndrome. This symptoms can be controlled and your functionality can be improved in to 99%.

The therapy indicated is - therapeutic ultrasound therapy, TENS therapy, hot water fermentation.

excercises to be performed - core stability, spine muscle Strengthening, pelvic floor muscles strengthening.

you will find ease in your symptoms as 99% of patients recover with the self induced effort for undergoing the exercises .

with the grace of God I wish you a speedy recovery
