Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
sir, my father is 78 yrs old , he is a diabetic patient and also heart patient , now he is having a severe burning sensation in stomach , we consult doctor , he told us to do endoscopy , so I want to know that whether it is painful procedure or normal, whether we go for endoscopy or not
Hello! I read carefully the complaint of you father! He has burning sensation in stomach , and may be it is related with a gastritis or something else , but sure to put a diagnose and then treat these symptoms, he must do the gastroscope! It is a invasive procedure, but commonly it is done under sedation, so he will not have pain during the procedure! I wish a fast recovery! All the best! Dr. Brikena Dautaj
