What Causes Severe Burning Sensation In The Lips?

I have had burning lips for over 1 1/2 months. Saw a dermatologist, could be sun exposure or allergic reaction. Bothered by spicy foods, toothpaste. soothed with Vaniply ointment with best results. Is this a symptom of a medical condition. Doctor advised it could take 30 days to heal. Any suggestions for healing?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
the reason why you could be experiencing severe burning sensation in the lips could be due to certain vitamin deficiency.
Kindly take multi-vitamin preparation such as Cobadex Forte once a day for one month. Also, keep your skin clean and apply medicated moisturizer everyday at bedtime.
Gradually, your symptoms should get better and subside.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
