What Causes Severe Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

Dear Dr, Am i 57 years old and already in my menopause, i have been bleeding and went for cancer test four months ago that turned out negative, it reoccured i went for another screening and cancer test again since blleding reoccured, Now waiting for my results but i have a terrible burning sensation even during urinating. what could the problem be?

If you went through menopause (a year without a period) and started bleeding, then tests are usually done to rule out any serious problems with the uterus.
These tests would normally include an ultrasound and biopsy and are likely the tests that you had done.

If these are all normal, then other causes would need to be considered.

Burning on urination is most often due to infection of some aspect of the urinary tract (bladder, urethra, ureter, kidneys).
This can be confirmed by an urinalysis.

Trauma to the urinary tract or chemical irritation can also cause this symptom.
