What Causes Severe Catching Pain In Both Hips?

28y/o female. Having pain in right knee just below knee cap normally only when driving. However, have begun to have SEVERE pain (feels almost like a catch or bubble feeling) in both hips. It has become difficult to pivot in either direction. I feel weird that this is happening to me. Oh and I gave birth just under 5 months ago but this doesn't seem to be related in the time frame. (been going on for just over a month now but getting worse!)
