What Causes Severe Chest Congestion, Cough And Frequent Headache?

I've had a bad chest cough for about a month. The cough is better, but still there. Experiencing a burning feeling in my chest and daily headache. I feel fine when I'm laying down, but once I get up and moving around the burning and headache return.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain cough, headache and burning sensation in chest can be due to infection in the upper respiratory tract while it can also be due to acid reflux in which acid refluxes into the throat and mouth from stomach and it can also cause irritation in throat causing cough as well as burning in chest..
You need to consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Laryngoscopy, upper G.I endoscopy etc can help in confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if it is due to bacterial or viral infection you can be advised to take antibiotics, painkillers, warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
In case of acid reflux antacids, proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, dietary modifications and weight loss can be advised..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
