What Causes Severe Chest Pain And Profuse Sweating?

During a stress free dinner I experienced extreme chest pain to the point of losing consciousness twice. upon regaining consciousness the second time I vomited. followed by profuse sweating being very disoriented when the ambulance arrived they said my pulse was very faint blood pressure was low. I was advised to go to the hospital but refused as I have no medical insurance. I went to emergency room the following morning with chest still feeling very bad and headache that just would not go away. of coarse I was given a cat scan but heart not checked even after explaining that loss of consciousness was due to pain in chest. it has now been 5 days since this incident. I still have the headache. still have chest pains if I get the least bit aroused. have still been unable to return to work or even do normal chores around my home without discomfort. when I bend over my head feels as if it will explode.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Well, The amount of sweat considered normal is quite variable and depends on the demands of the body. Excessive sweating, also called hyperhidrosis, means that you sweat far more than your body needs you to sweat. For example, if you sweat while sitting calmly at your desk, that is excessive sweating. In hyperhidrosis, the body's cooling mechanism is so overactive that it produces four or five times the amount of sweat that you need. However, sometimes if sweating happens during the night or there is associated weight loss then it may indicate some more serious issues such as lymohima or hormonal imbalances. In every case, if this persist you should see internist first to do some tests.

Hope I have answered your query.
