What Causes Severe Chronic Cough?

I have had a cough since late October 2016. I was throwing up every night after about an hour of laying down. I have not thrown up recently however the cough itself is worse. I do not cough up anything and the left side of my throat looks pale in comparison to the other side. The cough is very irritating and so far no medications (over the counter) has helped. Any suggestions?

Hi, there are few conditions causing cough on supine posture like GERS, Pleurisy, Chronic allergic sinusitis ... In your case it seems to be having LPRD- Laryngo Pharyngeal Reflux Disease. You did not mention age and nature of job. so simple sleep 3 hrs after light dinner. Chew well and swallow. No milk products after 6 pm. aavoid cold exposure hitting your face directly. If these measures failed you meet ENT Dr and Gastroenterologist. Take care
