What Causes Severe Congestion And Ringing In The Ears?

I think I have an ear infection. My left ear feels like it is stuffed. No discharge. No pain. Sounds like loud pingng in a drum. I had it looked at and was put on an antibiotic both oral and ear drops. I had a visit two weeks later with my primary and she said not to use the drops anymore. That was mid October. It is now worsening. I can t hear on the one side ad it feels like it is starting o the other side.
