What Causes Severe Constipation Post Hemorrhoidectomy?
40 yr old female post op hemorrhoidectomy 3 days ago. Having constipation. Been taking colace twice daily and fiber daily. Called the doctor and he told me to take milk of mag, I ve taken three doses with no results. It feels like the stool is too hard and big to pass. Is there anything else I can do to get relief. (I have also been doing sitz baths three times a day)

Regarding the cause of your experience with constipation following a previous hemorrhoidecromy I will suggest you have developed a post operative adhesions (healed tissues following operation)
In view of this please take the following
Liquid paraffin to soften stool
Eat fruits after meals
Avoid solid food
