What Causes Severe Constipation With Loss Of Appetite?

This is a very long question. First, three years ago my husband had prostrate cancer. That is now gone. Then he had surgery for bladder stones last year. Three months ago he was in the hospital with spinal meningitis. He was out of his mind for a few days. He also had left leg numbness. Three weeks he was diagonosed with uvetis in both eyes. Left eye is partially blind due to a stroke 6 years go. His eye was the only thing affected. Now he cannot have a bowel movement, his stomach is sour and he can t eat. The eye specialist wants him to see a Rheumatoid Dr. Also, his neck hurts really bad. I just don t know how to help him. The rheumatoid Dr. can t see him until end of Sept. Where do we go next?

Hello,

It may be due to constipation.

For that you may require ultrasound abdomen, complete hemogram, colonoscopy sos as per evaluation after gastroenterologist consultation.

Till then you can take tablet dulcolax after consultation.

Keep your self hydrated.

Do regular exercises.

Hope I have answered your query...
Let me know if I can assist you further.
