What Causes Severe Cough After Consuming Any Citrus Fruit?

Hello doctor, My daughter is 6.5 years old. I have noticed whenever she eat any citrus fruit , cough starts after 1-2 days, then it takes near more than a week to normalise d condition ...4-5 back, when she had cough, our doctor prescribed budecort n asthalin puffs along with antibiotics n cetrizine but after 1.5 months cough starts again.... then again d same course repeated.... I want to know that for how long puffs should be used. Is this really a problem from citrus fruits or anything else.....?

Thank you for asking. I understand your concern.
Your daughter seems to have an allergic tendency( may be familial ) which has caused allergic bronchitis./ asthma( in case there is family history
* Home care- avoid over exertion, take rest/ eat mild & nourishing diet with exclusion of allergens( known by test) ... avoid exposure to cold, spicy, oily & sour food, / avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fume or smoke.
* Baby needs consultation of chest specialist for full physical examination & investigations ( cbc, X ray cest, sputum culture & sensitivity / stool examination/ allergy screen test ) to find cause & gravity of symptoms.
Doctor would offer specific treatment& instructions , to control / prevent the symptoms.
