Hello dear user!
Welcome to HCM!

Blurred vision in severe cough is a common symptom. This happens because during such hard cough the pressure of the blood in the brain increases due to the difficulty of the blood to turn back in the heart. The headache can be explained for the same reasons too.

If you your cough is so bad that you can't support it, you may take any cough suppressor like codeine, but you have to be careful since you may have still a lot of mucous from the cold you passed, and it may be stuck in the lungs.

Take care and i hope you'll be ok soon.
Best regards!
Dr Eriol.
