What Causes Severe Cough Along With Pain In Chest?

Hello! I ve had a bad cold for a few days, with a fierce cough. In the past, if I ve coughed violently, I ve had sharp little chest pains, but this morning while coughing massively I experienced painful little pinpricks over almost my whole body. They went quickly, but when I stood up , my legs were quite sore - I thought I was going to topple over!

Hi. Cough with Pricky type of chest pain indicates pleurisy where the membrane of the lung is affected as well. Please get a chest xray. Hemogram. ESR. Sputum gram stain and culture and treat accordingly. You could be having a mild pneumonia. Take care.
