What Causes Severe Cough And Itchy Feeling In The Chest?

Hello, my daughter has a very bad cough, she coughs every minute, for the past 4 days, feels itchiness in her chest. A visit to the Dr revealed just a flu. however, no medicine would slow down the cough and she has been sleeping very little these days.

Hello,

As per mentioned history, it can be a cough due to respiratory tract infection. For a cough, you can be prescribed dextromethorphan like cough suppressant syrup.

Give her one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily. Avoid the intake of excess spicy foods. If no improvement with decongestant and antibiotic than chest X-ray can be planned for further work up.
