What Causes Severe Cough And Low Grade Fever?

I am an 87 year old female with no prior health issues. For the past three da us, I have had a terrible cough, lots of phlegm, low grade fever. I saw my doctor who put me on amoxicillin 5003 times a day, and Be zonatatr 100- 1 - w capsules a day for cough. Coughing g as let up some, but have real bouts that actually hurt my lower back. I WORRY ABOUT PNEUMONIA and most likely will see my doctor again tomorrow. Should I be conearned. I got a pneumonia shot quite a few years ago. Thank you.

I understand your concerns. Your age on the immune system was so weak resistance to bacterial agents, viral previously very weak despite what you do not get sick. Therefore, you should see a doctor to check back and tell you specific examination.
in addition you should nutritional supplements, regular exercise to improve resistance to itself. Wishing you a cure!
