What Causes Severe Cough While Having Acute Bronchitis?
Ihave acute bronchitis and have been coughing violently. This has been 10 days now. I ve taken albuterol inhaler, Flonase. clarithromycin and 2 shots of hydrocodone syrup.for 3 days in each hip. The injections were given Thursday and Friday. Since Friday I have had excruciating pain in my lumbar-sacral area. I can t function its so bad. Still having to cough, it s just registers about a 12. What is your thinking? I am a retired Nurse Anesthetist. I am 81 yrs. old. Thank you.

u can continue same treatment. i feel u can avoid hydrocodone syrup because it is centrally acting cough suppresant.at ur age this syp may be avoided. use steroid and salbutamol combination inhalers. u can use mucolytic and expectorant syp like Benadryl CR. Use antihistamines like tab.avil25mg twice daily.
