What Causes Severe Cough With A Dry White Discharge On The Tongue?
I have a bad cough for about 2 weeks now. Mr dr said it was just my asthma acting up. tonight i noticed that my tongue seemed to have dry white discharge on it. I coughed so badly, that I threw up. I feel a ball when I swallow. When I touched it, i felt a large polyp o the back of my throat.

It need a complete otorhinolaryngological exam before commenting on it any further as that ball like feeling could be anything from an inflamed adenoid or tonsil to a polyp as your suspicion. Symptomatic cough remedies and decongestants till then are advised. White discharge could be mucus or a phlegm also needs examination to confirm.
