What Causes Severe Cough With Mucus, Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain?

I have had a bad cough for several weeks. I cough up clear bubbly fluid. Some times a good bit. I get short of breath and have dull pain that comes and goes on both sides of my chest. I failed the nuclear stress test , but my heart cath came out great. What is wrong with me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having lower respiratory tract infection most probably as per history. For that, you need to investigate with digital chest X-ray and spirometry for further work up.

Your heart is normal as per history, so no need to worry. According to reports further, work up can be planned. You can be prescribed antibiotics if the bronchitis is the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
