What Causes Severe Cough With Mucus When Diagnosed With Coeliac Disease?

I had endoscopy 4 weeks ago and was diagnosed with coeliac disease . Since then I have been coughing and I went to the surgeon and he listened to my chest and said it was ok . I am still coughing and am getting small amounts of mucus up what can I do ?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You have diagnosed celiac disease....
If acid reflux is associated then cough can occur....
If it is present then heart burn like symptom also might be there....
For that take omeprazole....
Head elevation while sleeping....

Second here your cough might be from simple pharyngeal irritation or bronchitis....
More water taken...
Avoid respiratory irritants like....
-excess spicy and fried food
-smoking
-dust and pollutants exposure....
Your auscultation is normal...
So no need for worry....

If cough troublesome then dextromethorphan can be taken....

With keeping this in mind consult physician....
