6 Nights ago I was awakened by bad cramps in both legs. To the point my big toes curled upward. However, I had what I would describe as a charley horse in my left inside thigh. To the point it lasted about 5 minutes. I attempted to break the charley horse by rubbing and even hitting it. After about 3 days my left leg is bruised from the inside of my groin, down to my knee. It has become darker over time and now around the edges it is getting a little brown (I believe from the healing process). My concern and my wife s concern is a possible DVT. I m 48, chronic Hx of CHF, Type II Diabetes, Hx of Multiple PTCA w/ stents with an implanted ICD and Hx of brachytherapy in one of the stents. I m on multiple medications, including spironolactone, atorvastatin, fenofibrate, Plavix (lifetime rx) and baby aspirin. I realize only real way to R/O DVT is ultrasound / blood tests, etc. Question - Can muscle spasms and / or charley horse cause bruising
