What Causes Severe Cramps In The Calf?

I have been getting severe calf cramps at night...and also finding it hard at times to stretch my fingers back out after holding/gripping something tight, almost like theyre cramping. I drink anywhere from 75 -100+ oz of water a day. The cramping isnt exercise related, but I do work on my feet 10+ hours a day. I cant relate the muscle cramps to that though because they cramp on my days off also. The only medication I take is Warfarin (I have Factor V, and have had a PE and TIA in the past) Im guessing a trip to my PCP for bloodwork is in order.
