What Causes Severe Cramps In The Feet While Sleeping?

I m 88 yrs when laying I have sharp cramps and my feet freeze and later release the pain is terrible and this is only when I sleep that this will happen. This comes and goes and I have no idea when this comes it is from the ankle down my foot will start turning by itself and locks and then it will release itself what is this can you lead me the right direction for help?

Hello
This sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome and you need to see a neurologist for evaluation. Medications like Requip are very effective in treating the problem
