What Causes Severe Diarrhea While On Fosamax?

My sister who is 84 takes Fosamax (once a week) to maintain bone structure. I think she takes it properly -- with the 6-8 ounces of water, first thing in the morning, etc. However, within a few minutes, she has a bad diarrhea problem -- once over, she is mainly okay. Is there anything she can do to prevent the diarrhea attack? Or, to maybe, slow it down? Suzanne

I really appreciate your concern, it may not be diarrhea of such kind like happening in infection and that could needs some treatments passing a stool just three to four times in day would be normal one and no need to worry about this, hope this information helps.
